Getting to Know Manhattan

Manhattan is a village in Will County, southwest of Chicago. It has a small-town atmosphere, a historic downtown, newer residential developments and plenty of open space. Residents have access to local parks and recreation, community events, nearby shopping and regional transportation routes.

The village has grown considerably over the years while retaining its connection to its agricultural roots. The historic Baker-Koren Round Barn is one of the community’s recognizable landmarks, and the surrounding area offers a mix of established homes, newer subdivisions and rural properties.

Six-Month Rolling Closed-Sale Market Snapshot

This neighborhood snapshot uses the Manhattan closed-sale information supplied for this report. The figures below show average closed-sale prices by subdivision. They are intended to provide a general look at recent activity—not to estimate the value of an individual home.

A note about neighborhood sales data: We compile market snapshots using available closed-sale records and subdivision information. Occasionally, a listing arrives without a subdivision name—or with details that were never filled in by the listing agent. When we cannot confidently identify the neighborhood, that sale may be left out of that subdivision’s statistics. We can only work with the information that makes it into the system! We make every effort to keep this information accurate and current, but these figures are general market snapshots, not appraisals or guarantees of value.
